Glass Making

Teign Valley Glass was originally started to make hand made glass marbles for our main business, House of Marbles. The skilled craftsmen here make an awful lot more than marbles. Wine glasses, vases, animals, paperweights are all available to buy in the shop as are seconds and practice pieces.

 Things you can do within the glassworks;

• Watch the work when it is in progress from the viewing gallery.
• Get involved by booking yourself onto a glassmaking course or buy one as a gift for friends or family.
• Have your child's hand or foot cast in glass so you can remember how tiny they once were.
• Learn about glass and how it is made from our museum with exhibits from the Roman era onwards.
